New Senior Living Development Planned for Villa Rica, Georgia

James “Jay” Davis III has been practicing law in Georgia for over 20 years. After offering his service in the US Army for 2 years, he matriculated at the University of West Georgia, then the Georgia State University College of Law, where he received his JD. Currently, in addition to running his busy law office, James “Jay” Davis III is involved in the development of real property for the senior community, such as Avemore Village in Villa Rica, Georgia.

Recently approved by the Villa Rica City Council, Avemore Village will encompass 220 acres and offer three main segments in retirement living: commercial, residential, and life plan community (LPC). Retail businesses are included in the plan, and the residential aspect will consist of both single-family and multi-family units. The LPC will offer facilities for independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

The property will include two historic sites: the Williams-Mitchell Farm (a dairy that once provided milk to the downtown Atlanta area) and Camp Lacretia (a Civilian Conservation Corps camp established in 1935). The Avemore developers plan to erect commemorative monuments to these historic sites.
